Ugh, I dreaded this day. I love the look of water marbling, but I hate the clean-up! Then I remembered a while back that I saw a video where the technique is more like water spotting than water marbling, which looks just as pretty but is way less messy. The difference is that instead of “drawing” a picture in the polish, you spray some hairspray over it, which causes the polish to separate.
First I painted my nails white (Maybelline Colorshow – Winter Baby)
Then I painted a light grey on some plastic wrap and dabbed it onto the nail (L’Oréal – 604)
Then I did the water spotting (Essie – The perfect cover up)
It reminds me of stone marble (which is also what the video said it would).
Classy and elegant but also intriguing! I like how you get 10 different outcomes so no nail is similar.
