Fall Clothing Haul

Since the end of the challenge, I’ve needed a break from blogging, and to be honest, that feeling hasn’t quite passed yet, so I’m not sure how often I will be posting over the next few weeks – that depends on how much I feel like it. I want to create good content for the blog, and that just doesn’t happen when it feels obligatory, so I hope you’ll bear with me, if sometimes my blogging schedule becomes a little sparse. I actually have a schedule planned out in my head, but since you don’t always know what life throws at you, I’m just going to keep it in my head so I won’t disappoint anyone if I stray from it.

After the shift in the weather I’ve been searching through my closet for warmer clothes, and as it turns out, I don’t have that much pretty AND warm clothes. Either it’s pretty, summer clothes or warm, comfortable clothes. I had my mom with me on a shopping trip looking for new, warm clothes that is a bit more mature and pretty than all of my comfy sweaters (which I still love, by the way).

I only have pictures of the clothes because I didn’t feel like setting up a ‘photo-shoot’ – I was thinking that if you’d like to see it, I’d show the clothes on me as I get around to wearing it.

A nice, knitted dress from Only. Perfect for fall because it is not too thick.
A dress from Only – my mom and I got two in the same size – one in grey and one in blue and we’re going to swap from time to time – a great advantage to having similar taste and size and a completely different look. They look completely different on us.
A warm sweater dress with a turtleneck from VSR
The zipper on my winter coat from last year broke, so I knew I’d have to get a new coat this year, but that’s never a fun quest – if it fits my body, the arms are way to short. This wool one from Amisu came very close to having long enough sleeves and I really like it!
This sweater from Only makes me feel like an Icelandic singer-songwriter when I wear it. It is just so far from anything else I own and would probably normally have chosen, but it really works.

I got a lot of grey clothes this time, which is actually unusual for me – I usually opt for the more colorful option, even for fall and winter.

I love the simplicity of the grey shirt and the geometric pattern of the monochrome shirt.
