I recently discovered that a Danish webshop sells Color Club polishes, which I’ve wanted to try for a while, but I was never prepared to pay the delivery costs for international shipping. And what was even better, was that they were having a sale! Of course, I jumped at the chance to try out a nice selection of polishes because you can never really evaluate a brand based on one or two polishes. I may have gone a little overboard, but I ended up with 14 polishes.
Color club – Bell-bottom blues
A pretty royal blue with pink shimmer running throughout. Shown here is two coats.
Color Club – Beyond the Mistletoe
A holographic light blue glitter. It is nearly opaque on its own in three coats (shown below), but it would probably also work really well as a topper.
Color Club – Blushing Rose
A baby pink creme. This lies somewhere between two and three coats depending on your application, but that’s pretty standard for these types of colors.
Color club – Fondue for Two
A chocolate brown creme that is nearly a one coater.
Color Club – Get Down Tonight
A light blue jelly with iridescent and holographic flakies/glitter. This may have been intended as a topper, but it becomes wearable on its own with three coats. And it glows in the dark!
Color Club – Gift of Sparkle
A deep purple crelly with holographic glitter. Shown here is two coats.
Color Club – Le Petite Mint-sieur
A gorgeous mint green creme. I used two coats for these pictures.
Color Club – Lady Holiday
A light grey creme (that also looks super awesome matte, by the way!). Here I used two coats.
Color Club – Take Me To Your Chateau
A baby blue creme polish that is opaque in two coats.
Color Club – In the Mix
A light mint green crelly with black glitter. Shown here is two coats, but you could use three for even more dimension with the glitter.
Color Club – Mad Batter
An off-white crelly with black glitter. Shown here is two coats, but you could use three for even more dimension with the glitter.
Color Club – So Crumby
A light blue crelly base with black glitter. Shown here is two coats, but you could use three for even more dimension with the glitter.
Color Club – The Sweet Life
A pastel purple crelly base with black glitter. Shown here is two coats, but you could use three for even more dimension with the glitter.
I really liked all the polishes, especially the ice cream-inspired polishes (the last four). The only ones that fell through a little bit for me were Mad Batter because I didn’t like the off-white base so much; Bell-Bottom Blues because shimmers sometimes show the brush strokes, and this one did that a little bit; Gift of Sparkle because the glitter was a little too chunky for my liking.
However, I definitely consider this haul a win, and I will be keeping my eye our for new Color Club launches in the future.
